My Top Trails of 2021

As 2021 comes to a close, The Wanderer Hiking Blog celebrates a year of existence! Technically, our 1 year anniversary came at the end of November, but close enough...

With the end of the year closing in fast, it's time again to share with you my top 5 trails of 2021. This year we went to four national parks! We also ventured to quite a few more trails in the Los Angeles area. So it was definitely hard to pick, but here they are:

Maybe is was the fog that made it seem special, but it was a really interesting hike that had a lot of history to it. The peak has quite a few remnants of the old Mount Lowe Railway.

This is the longest hike we did in 2021. The view from the peak is well worth the time put into the hike.

The unique gold and red colors of the Golden Canyon and Red Cathedral in Death Valley were what made this one stand out. It's almost otherworldly.

Despite getting quite a few bug bites on this trail, the Mist Falls hike in Kings Canyon National Park was great. The views you get of the canyon on this trail are amazing and the falls themselves are quite impressive.

This one was my absolute favorite. It was one of the most difficult ones we did but the reward was wonderful. I highly recommend if you are ever in Sequoia National Park.

Here's to more hiking in 2022!
