My Top Trails of 2022

2022 is coming to a close, and with that comes my annual top 5 trails of the year!

This year was a busy one in our lives, and so the number of trails we hiked fell off a bit. But that doesn't mean we didn't get to hike some awesome trails or see some beautiful places!

Not so much a single trail as it is a bunch of shorter trails and walking paths that can be done all in a day's drive through the park. This is certainly one of the more underrated national parks but I found it to be very unique and thoroughly enjoyable!

Not the easiest trail to get to because it requires an hour boat ride to get to it, but the coastal views and the unique wildlife on the Channel Islands made it worth the trip.

I'm a sucker for a waterfall and this hike had one! Also, Big Sur State Park is just a beautiful place to visit.

Perhaps it was because we did this one as a sunset hike, but it was such a memorable and fun hike. There was so much to see along this 6.25 mile loop. Highly recommended!

The Grand Canyon is in a league of its own and easily takes the top spot in my rankings. The trail is challenging but the views are unforgettable.

I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to exploring even more in 2023!
